"Dia&Co and the Council of Fashion Designers of America teamed up with leading inclusivity advocates to create five limited-edition T-shirts celebrating the plus-size community. 100% of profits will go toward inclusivity-focused projects at CFDA’s Educational Initiatives schools, to equip the next generation of designers to create fashion for women of all sizes."¹

As one of the chosen designers for the #TeeUpChange project, I was interested in designing a phrase which spoke to the idea of inclusivity while still celebrating individuality. This juxtaposition reminded me of the words of Richard Rorty in his book Contingency, Irony, and Solidarity when he discusses one’s ability to express their individuality while maintaining a belief in solidarity. This meaning is reflected in a handwritten quote on the t-shirt, which states "ONE AND THE SAME."²
